JARL - a very wealthy villager
KARL - an average villager
THRALL - a slave who dreams of freedom
TRADERS - merchant travelers
EXPLORERS - navigators making maps
SAILOR - not just an oarsmen (NARRATOR)
SHIPBUILDER - skilled craftsmen
CARVER - craftsmen for village
METALWORKER - craftsmen for warriors
POTTER - making cooking pots
ANGLO-SAXON SOLDIER - running away to the west
PAGAN PRIEST - a Danish mystic leader
ODIN - the high king of the Gods
CHRISTIAN MONK - in a plain robe
CHURCH PRIEST - in fine robes with a staff
FARMER - working the English land
FARMER’S SON - inherits his father’s sword
FARMER’S WIFE - tends to the livestock and babies
HUNTER - gets meat for huge feasts

A Viking Longboat on one side of the set, with oars and a
sail if possible.
